DOGust: Three Dog Bakery Donates $20K to Animal Rescue Groups

Three Dog Bakery recently announced the results of its 2022 DOGust fundraiser in support of animal rescue organizations: $19,883 donated to 33 nonprofit animal rescues across the United States. This amount exceeds last year’s total contributions for the same fundraiser by nearly 25 percent.

DOGust (Aug. 1) is nationally recognized as the unofficial birthday celebration for all shelter dogs whose birthdays are unknown. During the month of August, Three Dog Bakery locations across the country invited dog owners to support rescues and shelters in the communities its bakeries serve by purchasing themed DOGust bandanas. As an additional show of support, Three Dog Bakery locations provided large dog-friendly bone-shaped cakes to their local rescue shelters so that pups could celebrate their birthdays.

Recipients of Three Dog Bakery’s donations included the Bella Vista Animal Shelter in Bentonville, Arkansas; Big Dogs Huge Paws in Denver, Colorado; and the Indianapolis Humane Society in Indianapolis, Indiana, all of which received more than $1,000 in contributions. Customers of Three Dog Bakery in Noblesville, Indiana, contributed more than $2,000 to support rescue dogs at the Humane Society of Hamilton County in Fishers, Indiana.
