Press release: Salty Dawg Pet Salon
Salty Dawg Pet Salon, the premium dog grooming brand that challenges people to “Pet Differently,” is bringing on new franchisee partner, Sam Rafidia, to own and operate five locations throughout the Chicagoland area. Salty Dawg Pet Salon has innovated the approach to pet grooming with an organic solution: sourcing licensed hairstylists and barbers, and providing them with an exclusive dog grooming training program to transition from styling humans to styling our furry companions. The brand is excited to begin providing Chicagoland’s furry friends the exceptional care and pampering they deserve.
“We are so excited to have Sam join the Salty Dawg team as we continue our expansion nationally,” said Salty Dawg co-founder and CEO John Kanski. “We strive for excellence in all aspects of our brand, from bringing on like-minded the individuals who are excited to join us in our mission of bringing premium service to the pups to upholding our reputation as a brand that dog owners can trust to take stellar care of their dogs while getting groomed. We know that Rafidia’s business background and passion for creating a space where dogs feel safe will translate to the Chicago area.”
As a Chicago native, Rafidia is thrilled to be bringing Salty Dawg to his community. With his extensive business background, including coming from a family of jewelers as well as owning several hair salons he is thrilled to be partnering with the brand to begin his franchising journey and bring a superior dog grooming service to the Chicagoland area. As the grooming industry faces challenges of finding quality stylists to keep pace with the demand, and the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics predicting that the industry will need to recruit, train and employee 64,000 new groomers by 2026 just to keep pace with the demand for pet ownership, now is the perfect time for Rafidia to bring Salty Dawg to Chicago communities, offering locals a reliable and trustworthy grooming experience for their pups.
“I fell in love with the brand’s proven business model and trusted brand name,” said Rafidia. “Salty Dawg provides the support and road map to create a successful business. When I branched out into the franchising industry, it was important for me to find a brand that I could really trust and believe in, Salty Dawg is exactly that. John is a great guy who really knows the business; their entire leadership team is unparalleled and the brand’s commitment to providing a safe and loving grooming experience for dogs is inspiring.”
Rafidia is planning on opening five locations throughout the Chicagoland area, looking to open his first one in either Deerfield or Naperville. He is thrilled to bring Salty Dawg to local Chicago communities, offering them a superior grooming experience, knowing that our furry friends are really more like family and only deserve the best quality care.
