Dexas Adds Kim Magee to Sales Leadership Team

Dexas International Ltd., now in its 50^th year of design leadership and manufacturing excellence, has named Kim Magee as director of sales – pet.

Magee is an accomplished sales leader in the pet industry and recently served as vice president of sales at Kyjen/Outward Hound. Magee will report to the president of Dexas International Ltd., Scott Henrikson.

“Kim has an exceptional sales background and an impressive list of accomplishments in the pet industry,” said Henrikson. “While at Outward Hound, she delivered significant sales growth for the company.” At Kyjen/Outward Hound, Magee had primary responsibilities for the acquisition and growth of key accounts, while also building and managing the sales team.

Magee collaborated in the development and launch of numerous new products, including the Invincible long-lasting squeaker toys, Dog Games interactive treat games and the Fun Feeder slow bowls. In addition, she was a key part of the company’s “nimble” progression, adapting both plush designs and travel gear to grow accounts from off-price to big box to specialty. Magee played a pivotal role in coaching the sales team and in developing systems and processes as the company evolved into industry leader Outward Hound.

Prior to Outward Hound, Magee served in various management roles including design, merchandising, apparel and specialty retail. She has consulted with various pet industry businesses and is an active volunteer for organizations such as Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies and Pet Aid.

Founded in 1969, Dexas International Ltd. designs, manufactures and markets cutting boards, kitchen tools and gadgets as well as specialty products that stimulate culinary creativity at home.  Dexas also designs and manufactures pet feeding, travel and grooming products like the original, award-winning MudBuster paw washer and the new award-winning line of off-leash, adventure-driven toys.
