SodaPup, a leader in innovative enrichment lick mats and slow-feeder bowls, recently announced the expansion of its popular “softie” shallow line.

Building on the momentum of the Mandala softie program, the Boulder, Colorado company is introducing two new designs — the Sunflower eTray Softie and the Citrus eTray Softie — designed to provide a gentler feeding experience for pets.

The “softie” collection is crafted from a flexible, soft TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material. Unlike traditional rigid plastic slow feeders, these bowls offer a more tactile, “give-and-take” surface that is easier on a dog’s nose and tongue while still effectively slowing down meal time to improve digestion.

New Additions to the Softie Lineup

Following high demand for the Sunflower eTray, this signature floral design is now available in the softie material in two colors: yellow and pastel purple. Additionally, the all-new Citrus eTray Softie features a segmented design perfect for separating different types of food. This eTray Softie will be available in two colors, orange and lime green.

Meeting the Demand for Gentler Enrichment

The decision to expand the softie category was driven by feedback from the SodaPup community. While rigid feeders are excellent for durability, many pet parents have sought out softer alternatives for senior dogs, brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, or pets with sensitive mouths.

“The response to our Mandala softie program was overwhelming, but it didn’t stop there,” said Adam Baker, CEO of SodaPup. “We have received a lot of requests for more options in soft slow feeder bowls. Our customers are looking for that specific balance of mental stimulation and physical comfort, and we are excited to deliver these new designs right in time for the industry’s biggest stage.”
