CityVet, a network of 61 veterinarian-owned practices offering unique programs serving people through with kindness for over 25 years, will officially open its newest location, CityVet Northlake, on July 14. Located at 2144 Northlake Pkwy Suites A&B in Tucker, Georgia, the clinic will be owned and operated by local veterinarian Dr. Frank Romano and marks CityVet’s fifth location in the Atlanta area.

The new clinic will offer a full range of veterinary services, including preventive care, diagnostics, personalized wellness plans and soft tissue surgery. It will also feature minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, allowing Dr. Romano and his team to perform advanced procedures with smaller incisions, resulting in less post-operative pain and faster recovery.

CityVet Northlake will be owned and led by local veterinarian Dr. Frank Romano. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Romano earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a rotating ER and specialty internship in Sandy Springs, he fell in love with Atlanta, and he and his family have called it home for eight years. Dr. Romano has worked with over 70 clinics across the metro through relief work, including several Atlanta-area CityVet’s.

Additionally, Dr. Romano brings eight years of laparoscopic experience and plans to utilize this advanced surgical technique at CityVet Northlake to improve outcomes for patients. A strong advocate for the procedure, he recommends laparoscopic surgery for nearly every dog spay as well as a range of abdominal operations, citing its ability to minimize discomfort, reduce bleeding, and promote faster healing.

“My vision for CityVet Northlake is to create a purpose-driven clinic where every team member feels valued and empowered to grow,” said Dr. Romano. “With CityVet’s support, I’m able to focus on what matters most: leading an inspired team, building meaningful relationships, and delivering truly personalized care.”

“This partnership gives me the freedom to make decisions that directly impact the lives of our clients and their pets, and that opportunity to lead with intention and heart is what makes this journey so fulfilling,” de continued.

At its core, CityVet Northlake’s mission is to ensure clients don’t just leave happy with their experience, but that they feel known when they return.

“We want every pet owner to walk in and be greeted by familiar faces who remember them and their pet’s story,” said Dr. Romano. “It’s about creating genuine connections, where trust is built not just through excellent care, but through consistency, kindness, and a sense of community.”

“At CityVet, we believe the best care begins with strong relationships between our veterinary leaders, their teams, and the communities they serve. Dr. Romano’s vision for CityVet Northlake perfectly reflects that mission and we’re excited to see the impact he and his team will make in the Northlake community,” added CityVet president and CEO David Boguslawski.
