Press release: Choice Pet Products

Choice Pet Products, a distributor of high-quality pet brands and products, recently announced its partnership with Pure Cravings, a brand on a mission to protect cats from mercury. Choice Pet Products will add this new line to its curated portfolio of premium brands offered to independent pet retailers.

“We are thrilled to be adding Pure Cravings to our portfolio, a pet food brand addressing the mercury issue in cat food by rapidly testing fish to strict mercury limits,” said Janet Carter Smith, president of Choice Pet Products. “When we learned about the brand’s desire and ambition to create a new standard for pet food, we were eager to offer our retailers a brand their customers can trust and be 100 percent sure of what seafood their cats are consuming.”

Pure Cravings is on a mission to protect cats from mercury. With its proprietary technology, Pure Cravings tests each tuna, salmon and baitfish catch to a mercury limit 14 times lower than the FDA human standard and is one of the only brands to do this. The company has used its innovative technology to test over six million fish for mercury for use in both human and pet foods and tests more fish in a day than the FDA has tested in its history. In addition, Pure Cravings is human-grade protein, non-GMO and 100 percent wild-caught, sustainably sourced.

“At Pure Cravings, we know that cats deserve the best possible nutrition and are committed to providing them with high-quality ingredients, with strict mercury-tested tuna as the No. 1 ingredient to help support their health and well-being. We are thrilled to partner with Choice Pet Products to distribute Pure Cravings in the State of Florida. We look forward to working with them to educate them on the dangers of heavy metals in pet food and how we work daily to provide pet parents a solution,” said Bond Milburn, national pet food manager.
