BAYDOG Announces Distribution Partnership with Southeast Pet

The Chesapeake Bay Dog Company, maker of the BAYDOG brand of Canine Adventure Gear, has recently partnered with Georgia-based distributor Southeast Pet. Beginning in July, BAYDOG retailer partners in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee will be serviced by Southeast’s two distribution centers.

Our growth strategy hinges on partnering with regional distributors that will protect the brand for our retail partners, and Southeast is best in class.”

“One reason we really like BAYDOG is their dedication to supporting their independent brick and mortar customers. They don’t sell on Amazon or Chewy, and they guarantee their products 100 percent,” said Pete Cooper, vice president of sales and marketing at Southeast. Cooper has been working with the BAYDOG team since the brand launched in 2018. He continued, “At Southeast, we view it as our job to present our customers with new and innovative products that are fairly priced and differentiated in the market. We think BAYDOG does just that.”

O’Brien continued, “At the end of the day, business is about people, and I’ve had the opportunity over the past several years to meet and get to know most of the Southeast team. Southeast Pet is based in metro Atlanta and was founded in 1975. Since 2015 the company has been employee owned, resulting in a team that is committed to the business and their customers. BAYDOG was founded in 2018 and is based in Annapolis, Maryland. It is 100 percent veteran-owned and offers a full line of performance-oriented dog accessories.
