Animal Health Industry Leader Joins Brakke Consulting

Brakke Consulting is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Mike McGinley to its team of consultants, bringing unique and crucial strengths to the company and positioning the firm to help an even broader range of clients.

Company President Dr. Robert (Bob) Jones announced today that Mike McGinley will join the firm immediately and commented, “Mike brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our group and I am very pleased to add him to our team of experts. He is a 35-year veteran of the animal health industry in the vaccine, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics segments for both food and companion animals. It is very hard to find this breadth of experience in animal health.”

Most recently, Mike spent 21 years working for Heska Corp. in positions of increasing responsibility from Director, R&D/Regulatory Affairs, General Manager, Diamond Animal Health (a contract manufacturing organization and contract research organization) and Chief Operating Officer leading up to his final assignment as President, Biologics and Pharmaceuticals. Prior to his tenure at Heska Corp., Mike led the Livestock Vaccine R&D team at Bayer Animal Health.

“Over a long animal health career, Mike has a consistent history of success in product development, regulatory affairs, new business development, and manufacturing operations leadership,” says Jones. “Mike will assist Brakke clients with science and technology
assessments and provide guidance along the product development pathway from proof of concept to commercialization.”

Mike holds both a MS and a PhD degree in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunobiology from Iowa State University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. Mike will continue to be based in Fort Collins, CO.
