The addition of Jessica Moore, Valerie Partynski, Anne Francis, Dana Chavez-Rey and Mike Harbour further strengthens Andis’ team of elite grooming specialists and is a testament to the brand’s continued commitment to offer unparalleled educational opportunities to create an amplified global platform for animal education.
Valerie Partynski [Small Animal – All Breed Educator] – Valerie has been grooming professionally since her graduation from Great Lakes Grooming Academy in 2001, where she eventually became an instructor for several years. She has won several awards including “Best in Show” and “Best All Around Groomer” in 2010. She was ranked as one of the top 20 groomers in the country in 2013 and was also nominated for national accolades including “Up and Coming Groomer of the Year” in 2014 and “Up and Coming Speaker of the Year” in 2015.
Anne Francis [Small Animal – All Breed Educator] – Anne Francis is a Certified Master Groomer with the National Dog Groomers Association of America and has been grooming for over twenty years at the Village Groomer in Walpole, MA. As a GroomTeam USA member, she has been nominated for Barkleigh Honors Awards for “Up and Coming Speaker” and “Journalist of the Year”. She also won the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Award for Journalism for her “How-To” article in Grooming Business Magazine, and the William Stone Memorial Award – one of her most cherished honors – given to the groomer who has the best rapport with their competition dogs.
Dana Chavez-Rey [Small Animal – Feline Educator] – Dana was a lead veterinary technician at the North Peninsula Humane Society from 1998-2000, and worked in veterinary care and dentistry from 2000-2005. In 2005, Dana and her husband founded A Purrfect Groomer with their mobile grooming van. In 2016, Dana joined the Intellectual Groomers Association (IGA) as a founding member and was on staff as an expert in feline grooming. As a staff member of IGA, Dana traveled the country giving seminars on feline grooming and certifying qualified groomers.
Jessica Moore [Small Animal – All Breed Educator] – Jessica Moore has been a pet stylist for 19 years and is the owner of Show Stoppers Pet Styling in Waukegan, IL. After several years of grooming on her own for both corporate and private salons, she took the leap into the grooming competition ring in 2006. Jessica has obtained a multitude of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place wins including many group placements in entry, intermediate and open level as well as several “Best-Groomed Dog” and “Best in Show” awards.
Mike Harbour [Goat and Lamb Expert] – Mike Harbour has been an accomplished show lamb and goat producer for over 30 years. Mike pursued a college degree in Animal Science while competing 71⁄2 years with the Texas Agriculture Extension Service as a County Extension Agent. Harbour and his family operate Harbour Livestock in Texas – a ranching operation that primarily raises show goats and sheep with the addition of commercial cattle.
