This year marks Cheri’s Preferred Puppies’s 30th year of business. Located in Hamilton, Ohio, Cheri’s Preferred Puppies was opened in 1986 and has been serving the Hamilton, Cincinnati, Dayton and surrounding areas ever since, according to the company’s webstie.
Owned by Cheryl Dalton, the store “specializes in small, non-shedding house breeds,” and “all puppies are locally-bred and are individually selected by (Dalton herself) for temperament, health, and ‘adorability,’” according to the store’s website.
“I’ve only got 700 square feet… but I like the fact that people know where to come and that they trust me,” Dalton told the Journal News. “I’ve been very conscientious about being fair to the customer, and I’ve been rewarded for that and I’m proud of that.”
