5Strands Affordable Testing, the Georgia-based leader in bioresonance technology, a safe, non-invasive form of assessing energetic alignments in the body, to help identify intolerances for both people and pets, has announced some internal management transitions. 

Austin Collins, a 26-year-old graduate of Columbus State University in Georgia, will lead the 5Strands team as chief executive officer (CEO) and chief marketing officer (CMO). Collins is an original founding member of 5Strands which was started in 2017. At the time he was still playing baseball, working a job, attending school full-time and mapping out the foundation of 5Strands.

“This is an exciting time for me,” said Collins. “When I entered college, I was undecided on my major. Not because I wasn’t interested in anything. I just didn’t know what I wanted to specialize in yet. As a student athlete, I was constantly checking in with my body. My personal discovery in optimizing health and performance soon became my passion.”  

“Austin is really passionate about helping people and positioning them where they can at least help themselves,” said Lisa Blaurock, founder and president of 5Strands Affordable Testing. “It has been amazing to work with him.”

Blaurock, Collins and Ethan Steed are the trio founders of 5Strands. Ethan Steed, chief operating officer (COO) and graduate of Georgia College, will continue to help Collins lead operations in Lawrenceville.

“Over the years, I have built an amazing relationship with Ethan and Lisa,” said Collins. “During the times where we struggled, we received important support and guidance from our director of operations, Elaine Byers. We call here our secret weapon. I’m fortunate to have aligned with individuals who have consciously come together to improve the quality of life for both humans and their pets. Every team member at 5Strands has their personal story on how the 5Strands health assessment transformed their life. Robert and Yvonne (now lab directors at 5Strands) met Lisa and me at our very first gluten-free expo in Atlanta.”

Collins was recently instrumental in hiring pet nutritionist Tazz Latifi as director of consumer and retail education and sales.

“We are so excited to have someone of Tazz’s caliber of professionalism and industry knowledge join our growing team of experts at 5Strands,” said Collins. “Her approach aligns with the 5Strands vision of taking a balanced and mindful path with nutrition and health.”

5Strands has also added nutrition holistic health practitioner and cognitive behaviorist Dr. Ruth Moore within the past six months. Moore is a Fellow with the Complementary Medical Association and a National Health Advocate and consultant who sees the broad picture helping clients identify goals and translate those into actionable and attainable objectives. She has a background in cognitive neuroscience and behaviorism, spiritual psychology and holistic kinesiology, specializing in stress reduction and balancing the autonomic nervous system.

As far as future plans for the company, Collins says he wants to expand internationally.
