As a national sales manager at Splintek, a position he held for nearly ten years prior to joining Vets Plus, Haxton was responsible for the SleepRight line of branded products in retail stores across the U.S. and internationally. He also introduced a line of pet treats, growing accounts with pet specialty stores as well as national and international distributors. Haxton previously held sales and account management positions with American Dairy Brands and Kraft Foods, Inc.

“Rick has experience in the food, drug and mass market, which is a growing segment for the pet health industry and a great area of focus for our team,” said Dale Metz, director of the Companion Animal Business Unit at Vets Plus. “He has established contacts and knowledge of managing the distribution and broker relationships that will help us to grow our sales in this competitive market.”
