Marcel Bosch Named New Managing Director of Family-Owned Farm Food Natural Dog Food

It was recently announced that, as of January 1, 2024, 52-year-old Marcel Bosch has been appointed as the new general director of family-owned Farm Food Natural Dog Food in Nijverdal, Netherlands. This was announced by the De Weerd family and also shareholder of the company.

“We are very grateful to Marcel for wanting to guide our company – together with all employees – to the next phase,” said founder Gerrit de Weerd.

Bosch, who studied Tax Law at Maastricht University and obtained an MBA at Nyenrode Business University, has in recent years assisted (family) businesses, boards and shareholders as interim manager and interim director. In the role of trusted advisor, Bosch had already been involved with the De Weerd family and Farm Food for several years.

“As our family business continues to spread its wings and acquire an increasing market share in 20 countries, additional knowledge and experience at the managerial level is needed to guide our beautiful company to the next phase,” added Gerrit de Weerd.

Bosch wants to build further on the foundation which Gerrit de Weerd created together with his wife Ingrid in 1982.

“What is good, stays good and what can be even more beautiful, we make more beautiful,” said Bosch.

The philosophy “Dogs First!” – on the foundation of which Farm Food was ultimately built together with sons Maarten and Michiel and all employees – is and will remain the starting point. In addition, Farm Food will always continue to take its social and societal responsibility.
