Polkadog, the Boston-based dog treat company best known for its original, single ingredient Cod Skins, is expanding the brand’s reach into the Southeast with distribution partner Pet Food Experts (PFX), who it’s had a partnership with since 2009.
Independent pet stores in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama will now have the opportunity to carry the full Polkadog line via PFX beginning August 1, 2025.
Polkadog handcrafts innovative single and limited-ingredient dog and cat treats that support a healthy lifestyle for pets. It uses thoughtfully, individually sourced ingredients from its community of fishers and farmers in the U.S., and packages all of the treats at its Boston Fish Pier kitchen. Best sellers include Cod Skins, Peanut Butter Wonder Nuggets, Salmon Says Bits, and Chicken Littles Bones. It has also recently launched a new sustainable, single-ingredient treat called Salmon Skins.
