Entering April, sales remained relatively steady. The biggest increases in revenue occurred in the cat, fish and ancillary services categories. In gift sales, there was a decrease in sales revenue, which might be explained by the end of the winter holiday season. Retailers’ predictions for next month’s sales remain similar to predictions from last month.
The data published in this edition of the Retailer Sentiment Index was collected in February 2017.
