Barkworthies Kicks Off Chews Rescue Shelter Program

March 2, 2016

Barkworthies, makers of natural canine treats and chews, has announced the launch of a new philanthropic shelter program, Chews Rescue.

To kick off the program, Barkworthies is making a $10,000 donation to the  and delivering an additional treat donation. The company will also launch a two-month Facebook campaign inviting pet owners to support animal rescue by sharing photos of their own rescue pet and sharing why rescue is the best breed.

Barkworthies will also donate an additional five dollars to the Richmond Animal League for each Facebook entry successfully received between March 1 and April 30.

At the conclusion of the campaign, one lucky dog who appeared on Facebook will be randomly selected to receive a year’s supply of Barkworthies treats and chews. Additionally, the brand will make a 500-piece product donation to an animal shelter in the winner’s honor.

“We hope the Chews Rescue program gives back in a meaningful and significant way — it’s our way of saying thank you,” said Barkworthies CEO and co-founder Avrum Elmakis.
