Zinpro Corporation has announced its acceptance as a National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) Preferred Supplier. In November, NASC provisionally approved the company’s original product, ZINPRO zinc methionine complex, for use in equine and companion animal market segments, as a preferred product in the Preferred Product Supplier program.

“This acceptance by NASC is another in a long line of validations from industry associations that show our commitment to supply our customers with quality products,” said Michael Keith, Zinpro Corporation’s account manager – Gulf states. “We are pleased that our first product, ZINPRO zinc methionine complex, meets NASC’s stringent quality requirements. We expect to have additional products from our portfolio accepted in the near future.”

Suppliers of raw materials that participate in the NASC Preferred Supplier program must meet comprehensive standards for testing and other specifications to ensure NASC members can buy from trusted companies. Preferred Suppliers are important to NASC members, because they help to improve efficiency, which reduces cost, in addition to benefiting finished product quality.

“The Preferred Supplier program spotlights and differentiates quality vendors that, unlike opportunistic suppliers, are committed to operating responsibly and with transparency,” NASC President Bill Bookout said. “The program is important to NASC members, because it makes finding and accepting a responsible supplier easy and helps to ensure members can purchase quality ingredients, which in turn increases consumer confidence in member companies.”

Acceptance into the NASC Preferred Supplier program adds to Zinpro’s long line of quality certifications, including FAMI-QS, HACCP, ISO 9001, RUPP and Safe Feed/Safe Food. “We are pleased to be part of the NASC Preferred Supplier program,” Keith said. “It’s a true honor to be able to provide this additional assurance to our customers.”
