World Pet Association Welcomes New VP of Exhibitions

World Pet Association (WPA), the business association that supports the needs of the entire pet industry community and produces SuperZoo, announced that Mike Karsting will join the organization as the new vice president of Exhibitions. Karsting comes to the role with more than 25 years of experience in event marketing and management of both small meetings and large-scale events. In his most recent role with National Convention Services, he led event and operations teams in all aspects of trade shows, conventions and consumer events.

“Mike comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience which we are excited to tap into as we shape the future of WPA’s portfolio of industry events to include SuperZoo, Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference, America’s Family Pet Expo and Aquatic Experience,” said Jacinthe Moreau, WPA president. “The entire team is thrilled to welcome him to this new role. He will bring tremendous value, insight and passion to the position.”

Karsting’s tenure includes 10 years with TEN, The Enthusiast Network, where he served as vice pesident of Events responsible for planning, production and execution of TEN productions which included EnduroCross event series, Motor Trend International Auto Shows, and hot rod car shows and concerts. Before being named vice president at TEN, he served as the publisher’s director of Events where he produced several events associated with the company’s magazine portfolios.

“With Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference, set to stage at the Georgia International Convention Center, March 8-11, and SuperZoo following June 26-28, 2018, with education June 25-27 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Mike will be quickly learning the ropes and will be on hand to meet the industry,” Moreau said.
