After the devastation of the Paradise Camp Fire and the other destructive wildfires this season, California-based pet accessory brand Woodrow Wear donated over 920 sets of paw protecting Power Paws to dogs and cats in need of comfort and healing. The brand reached out to shelters and rescue groups in the affected areas, as well as those traveling to help to coordinate deliveries and partnerships with the veterinary practices attending the fire victims.

Power Paws non-slip pet socks help keep wounds clean, while also providing warmth and traction to senior pets and those with mobility issues. The brand is looking to send even more sets of Power Paws to pets hurt or displaced by the Woolsey Fire, Hill Fire and Camp Fire. Veterinarians and shelter workers use the soft, warm socks to help heal burns and wounds, as well as to provide traction on slippery surfaces for older dogs or those who have paw bandages limiting traction. Woodrow Wear’s goal is to have donated and shipped over 1,000 pairs of Power Paws to California cats and dogs.
