Vital Essentials Minnows Wins 2016 Family Choice Award

December 19, 2016

The “Family Choice Awards” recognized Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Minnows as a winner of a 2016 Family Choice Award.

Twenty-four judges, including pet owners, business executives, humane society representatives, educators, journalists and veterinarians reviewed a total of 12,362 pet entries. Family Choice Awards Chairperson Candace Evans said that each judge—from six different states—had a particular evaluation agenda but reached a mathematical conclusion that rated these products at the top.

“The Minnows have been a hit in both our dog and cat treat lines since their release last year,” said Kevin Malnor, vice president of sales and marketing at Vital Essentials. “We are excited to share this unique freeze-dried treat with pet parents who are looking for limited ingredient; grain free, gluten free treats. We believe our 13 Vital Treats for Dogs and eight Vital Cat Treats are the healthiest treats on the market.”

You never have to wonder what’s in a Vital Essentials product, you get what you would expect; an entire turkey neck, a real chicken heart or, in this case, a whole minnow. Vital Essentials brings treats to the market that pet parents no longer have to feel guilty about feeding.

“Receiving this award is an acknowledgement of our commitment to produce fun, innovative treats. We are very honored, thank you,” Malnor said.

“We want to convey our gratitude and recognition for producing an extraordinary product that makes a positive difference in the lives of our families and their cherished pets,” Evans said in the winner announcement.
