Press Release Source: Vetbasis

After 10 years off the market, Vetbasis Herbal Cat Litter is making its return. Now with new owners and a full commitment to the independent pet market, Vetbasis Herbal Cat Litter is a solid niche product that fits and appeals to discerning cat customers that shop at independent pet stores, the brand states.

Don and Val Whaley, the owners of natural pet supply stores in East Tennessee, obtained the trademark in 2013 after selling the Vetbasis line in stores for nearly 10 years. They have since sold Vetbasis Herbal Cat Litter as a house brand in their stores and reportedly watched it out-sell and out-perform every natural cat litter they have used or carried.

“Corn cob is a proven odor and moisture absorber for cat litter, is lightly scented and infused with lavender essence,” Val Whaley said. “The Vetbasis brand has a proprietary formula of natural ingredients that clumps beautifully, traps odors, and maintains a much cleaner box for your felines. Vetbasis Herbal Cat Litter remains clean when scooped regularly and lasts much longer than most natural litters in the marketplace.”

For some time, the brand says many former carriers of the Vetbasis line have been ordering the product directly. Vetbasis is now streamlining that process to make the Herbal Cat Litter more easily accessible to the retailers by way of new packaging and convenient stocking options for specialized retail stores. Vetbasis Herbal Cat Litter is also reportedly adding distributors across the country.

Vetbasis is family owned, 100 percent independent and fully committed to independent brick and mortar stores, the brand says. The premium, all-natural cat litter is biodegradable and now comes in two sizes: seven-pound and 15-pound bags. Vetbasis supports local U.S. farmers and is manufactured by The Andersons in Ohio, a company that has been in business over 70 years.
