Upcoming APPA Webcast: Ins and Outs of Licensing Pet Products

The American Pet Products Association will be hosting a webcast on the “Ins and Outs of Licensing a Pet Products” on September 27 at 2pm EST. The program will be hosted by Nicole A. Ressue, an intellectual property attorney, and moderated by Carol Frank, pet industry business consultant and managing director at MHT Midspan.

According to APPA, Ressue has been “practicing IP law, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating licensing agreements for 14 years.” Frank has experience in licensing patented or patent-pending pet products through her consulting practice. The program will be helpful for both licensors (inventors) and licensees (companies that bring new products to market). Topics to be covered include:

  • What is intellectual property and what can you license?
  • Key licensing issues
  • Top mistakes in IP licensing
  • War stories and success
