Our newest Readex survey showed us that print is still powerful. Almost all of our readers (97 percent) took some sort of action after reading our magazine. That means we must be doing a pretty good job.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you to our readers. It is because of you that we continue to remain dominant in this industry. In fact, 92 percent of

you said we were a credible source and that we remained relevant to your work. This is the type of thing we very much like to hear. We do this for you and your business.

When you hold us in high regard, I am able to hold my staff in high regard as well. It creates a better work environment just by knowing that we are doing the right thing.

Shelf life also indicates that our magazine is right on track. According to the survey, 94 percent of you have saved at least three issues of Pet Age. The survey also revealed that 72 percent of you even refer back to older issues of Pet Age. We want to be the number one source that you continue to go back to over and over again.

Teamwork is very strong here so when 92 percent say we are easy to read, I know the editorial staff is doing a great job. When 90 percent of you think our magazine is visually appealing, I know to thank the design team. It fills me with joy when I get to report back to the entire team that almost 80 percent of our readers share the magazine with others. That way, they know that their work is being seen by even more people than our circulation numbers report.

With such wonderful numbers last year, we are still hoping to increase the numbers even more next year. According to the survey, you chose us as the number one magazine. We want to remain the number one preferred pet product magazine.

With print still going strong, we want to impress you even more. Now I’m not saying I am going to work my staff like Jack Torrance in The Shining, typing away like mad but I will say that we know times are changing and we want to keep up the pace.
