The Honest Kitchen, maker of all-natural dehydrated pet foods, supplements and treats, announces 3-ounce cups as a nourishing alternative to conventional canned dog food. Purchasers will be able to add water directly into the new single-serve cups, providing a convenient way to feed their dogs The Honest Kitchen’s 100 percent human grade food. The trial cups will be available in best-selling grain-free varieties: Force Chicken Recipe, Embark Turkey Recipe and Love Beef Recipe. Launching in March 2017, the product can be found exclusively in stores where the Honest Kitchen is sold.

As part of The Honest Kitchen’s promise to reduce its environmental “paw” print whenever possible, all of the brand’s manufacturing takes place in North America to reduce transportation and carbon emissions. The single-serve cups are made with BPA-free materials, unlike most canned dog food.

“Consumer demand for no-fuss food doesn’t end in the human food space; we’re seeing a growing need for hassle-free options in the pet channel, too,” said Lucy Postins, founder and CEO of The Honest Kitchen. “Our single-serve, recyclable cups are an answer to this trend and prove convenience doesn’t have to sacrifice quality or environmental friendliness.”

The Honest Kitchen provides whole food nutrition for cats and dogs through its foods, supplements and treats. All foods are minimally processed through a gentle dehydration process to protect the natural pigments (phytonutrients) in the ingredients, keeping the food vibrant, colorful and much healthier than processed ‘convenience’ pet foods. The company aims to continuously replace conventional ingredients with certified organic alternatives, as well as to source wild crafted and organic herbs for supplements wherever possible.
