The Honest Kitchen was selected as one of OUTSIDE Magazine’s “Best Places to Work 2014.”

The company placed at number 87.

This is the fourth year in a row that The Honest Kitchen has been awarded the Best Places honor. Employees at the San Diego-based company, which produces a line of 100 percent human-grade, FDA-approved whole foods for pets, bring their dogs to work every day.

“We want our team members to enjoy a workplace and lifestyle balance that suits them, allows them to contribute in varied ways, and enables them to fulfill their creative potential,” said Lucy Postins, founder and CEO of The Honest Kitchen. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without the passion and commitment of our employees, and we’re excited to share this honor, again, with all of them.”

Employee perks include monthly chair massages, chiropractic adjustments, a Community Supported Agriculture box, as well as gym membership reimbursement.

Staff at The Honest Kitchen also encouraged to share their time within their community through Contribution “C” Teams, in which employees are reimbursed for time they spend volunteering in the community, organizing charitable donations or contributing to the company’s culture.
