Successful American Pet Professionals & the Pet Connect App’s Networking Event

American Pet Professionals, (APP), and APP members of the Pet Connect app co-hosted the first pet professionals networking event in the DMV, (DC, Maryland and Virginia), in October 2018 in Alexandria, VA at The Lyceum.  The event was sold out and boasted over 40 pet professionals, 9 ‘Show and Tell’ tables featuring all different kinds of pet businesses. Pet professionals came from surrounding areas: Baltimore; Washington DC, Pennsylvania; Maryland; Virginia and even as far away as New York to attend the area’s inaugural event.

“We are delighted with the turnout at the event, and the networking, relationship building among the attendees was just wonderful to see.  Many new connections were made at this one event and bringing our pet industry community even closer together in this area!” said Nancy Hassel, founder and President of American Pet Professionals. “It was wonderful to co-host the event with our members Jason Hanny and Hector Ocasio of the Pet Connect app who live in the area, they were instrumental in helping find a location right in the heart of Old Town and accessible to many area pet pros.  We can’t wait to co-host our next event together in the area in the new year.”

Pet businesses that participated in the ‘Show and Tell’ tables at the event were: BarkCode Consulting; Iconic Paws; Barkley Square Professional Pet Services; Wigzi; NeVetica; Pearly White Pets; SDWR; Animal Ortho Care and Pet Connect app.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my first APP networking event. I had the opportunity to chat with different people from industry and I look forward to the next event,” said Immacula Pierre, CEO & Founder of Iconic Paws, based in Woodbridge, VA.

This event was American Pet Professionals 115th event they have hosted just for pet professionals in the last 9 years, and their largest out of state attendance yet – hosting other events in Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, and Connecticut over the years.  Their founder is based in NY where the majority their events have been hosted.
