Strategizing Global

We are closing in on the last month before Global Pet Expo so it is time to really start planning ahead.

In my experience, it is best to have a strategy. While walking up and down the aisles is great, there are so many exhibitors this year and I can be easily distracted by a booth I didn’t know was even there. In fact, it seems like someone different is calling my name every minute! Sometimes, I miss booths or events by poor planning.

But this year, I plan to use the Global Pet Expo website, www.globalpetexpo.org, before I even hit the show floor. There is a vast list of all exhibitors with booth numbers and they are listed alphabetically so I can find them easily. What’s more, there is an interactive map of the massive show floor where I can click on a booth and immediately be apprised of what I will find there. This will be very helpful as the show floor can resemble the hedge maze from The Shining.

The website also features a comprehensive schedule of events and shows taking place through the expo. I can now plan my day down to the minute of shows and events I will be attending. For instance, there is a networking reception in March 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. which is perfect considering the website also lists the show floor closing at 6:00 p.m.

There are special events already scheduled which I am looking forward to. Thanks to the Global website, I have now set my schedule so that I can attend every one of them.

There is also a shuttle schedule that lists several hotels that the complimentary shuttle service will pick up from so if you’re not within walking distance of the convention center, getting there will be a breeze.

I am very much looking forward to another year of shows and expos kicking off with Global next month. I feel much better prepared this year to explore the show floor and catch up with everyone.

And remember, stop by Booth 2678 and say hello to our happy and helpful staff.
