Ruffwear Offers Retailers Ordering Ease with Latitude Program

With its Latitude Program, Ruffwear is hoping to make it easier for retailer to purchase the Ruffwear items they want to for their stores—with no shipping costs.

With unlimited free commercial ground shipping, retailers can order what they need, when they need it. And if the order is placed before 10 a.m. PST, the order will be shipped the same day. The Ruffwear Latitude Program allows retailers the “freedom to manage their inventory” their way “without overstocking or excessive freight costs,” according to Ruffwear.

“Our supply chain is designed to support the ‘buy now’ close to the customer demand,” Ruffwear Director of Sales Dove Gibson said. “The program allows dealers to get closer to consumer demand and order just what they need rather than taking on inventory for the season. Why buy coats in October if the market doesn’t demand doing so.”

According to Ruffwear, the program’s subscribers have bene pleased so far.

“I love the Latitude Program because it allows me to place special orders and ‘fill in’ orders without having to worry about high shipping costs that would make a one or two item order impractical to place,” said Jenna Yarosh of North Caorlina’s Patton Ave Pet. “With three stores, I can have orders ship individually to each store, rather than having them ship to a central location and having to distribute myself to save money.”

Bob Poore of Nooga Paws in Chattanooga, Tennessee, also reported to Ruffwear his success with the program.

“…What sparked my initial interest was the ability to special order products for customers,” Poore said. “In the past, we’ve waited until a significant order could be placed before getting to those customers who had placed a special order. It was frustrating for us and the customer. So with the Latitude program, if we don’t have it in stock or carry that particular SKU, we can order it without incurring additional shipping charges. It allows a brick and mortar to extend a great customer service experience without incurring significant overhead.”

The Ruffwear Latitude Program costs $99 a year with a 12-month subscription and requires a minimum order amount of $100.
