Press release: Phillips Pet Food & Supplies

Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, a leading pet product distributor serving the independent pet channel, recently expanded the Oxbow brand to include the new Enriched Life line. The unique hard-goods line includes habitats, natural chews, play centers and care items for small mammals. Enriched Life products are now available at Phillips’ distribution centers in California (Sacramento), Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

For more than 30 years, Oxbow has provided nutrition and care for small mammals, including hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, ferrets and guinea pigs. The new Enriched Life line is the result of small mammal quality-of-life research and is designed to provide environments that meet instinctual needs. The products encourage playing, chewing, exploring and hiding.

Enriched Life chews are made with untreated wood, safe vegetable inks and natural fibers. The hamster habitat has a running track, and all the habitats promote health and wellness. Play centers can be customized to keep pets’ daily routines interesting.

“Oxbow’s new Enriched Life’s hard-goods line supports the mental and physical well-being of small animals,” says Elizabeth Thibodeau, senior vice president, merchandising and marketing services for Phillips Pet Food & Supplies. “Phillips is pleased to expand our partnership with Oxbow, and we are confident that Enriched Life products will increase sales in the small animal hard-goods aisles for our independent pet customers.”
