Pets Best to Expand Coverage by Joining Forces with Shelter Insurance

September 18, 2018

Pets Best Insurance Services, LLC, a U.S. pet insurance agency based in Boise, Idaho, has announced it will be working with Daniel Boone Agency, LLC, a subsidiary of Shelter Mutual Insurance Company, to make pet insurance an option to the company’s policyholders.

Pets Best brings its network of Pet Insurance resources to the Daniel Boone team at Shelter Insurance, including Shelter’s approximately 1,300 agents in 15 states. Since its founding in 1946, Shelter Insurance has been providing a variety of affordable, comprehensive insurance options for customers including auto, home, life and business insurance.

“We could not be happier to be working with the Daniel Boone Agency and the Shelter Insurance agents and adding Pet Insurance as an option to their outstanding customer base,” Pets Best President Chris Middleton said. “They are a home-grown, grassroots company just like us, and we are looking forward to working with their agents to provide support and training through efficient online tools.”

With the addition of Pets Best Pet Health Insurance, Shelter Insurance policyholders will have access to Pets Best’s customizable pet insurance plans and quick reimbursements, as well as a 24/7 Pet Helpline powered by WhiskerDocs for on-the-go pet health related questions, a user-friendly mobile app, and much more.
