Now, pet owners can speak with veterinary experts day or night. This 24-hour access to veterinary consultation services is available at no cost to all Pets Best policyholders to help in the event of an emergency, to provide home care advice or to learn about behavioral or preventative care recommendations.

“There are instances when you suspect a medical issue with your pet but don’t know if you should rush to the veterinarian or not,” said Dr. Jack Stephens, a veterinarian and founder of Pets Best. “This new resource for pet owners will provide a convenient, efficient way to get questions answered quickly. We’re not diagnosing, but rather helping educate our customers about the decisions they need to make on behalf of their beloved pets.”

Comprised of veterinary technicians and licensed veterinarians, the 24/7 Pet Helpline can provide services by phone, live chat, mobile chat and/or email.

The new 24/7 Pet Helpline powered by whiskerDocs does not prescribe medications, authorize prescription refills and is not meant to replace veterinarians. The service is valued at $100 per year, but is now included with all Pets Best policies at no additional cost.
