Petcurean, a producer of premium quality pet food brands available in more than 35 countries around the world, has donated 18,431 dog and cat food meals to more than 10 communities and pet food banks and rescues across British Columbia. The donation was made possible with the support of Petcurean’s distribution partners, Petslink and Anipet Animal Supplies, and comes in the wake of widespread flooding and mudslides that have devastated communities across the province, including the Fraser Valley where Petcurean is headquartered.
“The unprecedented damage that recent storms have caused across the province are unimaginable. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the families, businesses, precious pets and livestock affected by this devastating disaster and we are committed to doing what we can to help bring some relief to the communities right in our backyard,” said Christine Mallier, sustainability and community relations manager at Petcurean. “No words can describe the extraordinary challenges displaced communities and pets have faced and will continue to face. Until the rebuilding can begin, we hope these donations bring even the smallest bit of comfort, relief and hope to those that have been affected.”
In addition to the pet food meals donated, Petcurean has also provided financial aid to local charities within the community in light of the recent natural disasters including the Abbotsford Disaster Relief fund and a GoFundMe, Help Our BC Farm Families, to support the welfare of affected farm animals in Abbotsford.
