Petco Now Selling Cali Vinyl Pet-Friendly Flooring

Petco is now offering the pet-friendly flooring Cali Vinyl—an ultra-durable, 100 percent waterproof luxury vinyl plank made by Cali Bamboo.

The new partnership was a natural one. Cali specializes in eco-friendly, low VOC building products with commercial-grade strength that are perfect for active homes and animals of all sizes. The company is a sponsor of The Petco Foundation and the San Diego Humane Society and is also known for welcoming more than 40 employee dogs at its San Diego headquarters.

“We get pets, and we get pet families,” Cali President Doug Jackson said. “A number one customer concern we hear is, ‘Will this floor hold up under my dogs?’ So we went even further with Cali Vinyl to ensure it’s even more resilient, even easier to clean and install, and looks great no matter how much fetch and roughhousing it sees.”

The secret to Cali Vinyl’s strength is GeoCore—the limestone composite foundation that forms the backbone of each plank. This fortifying layer allows for better protection against indentations, faster click-lock installations and boosted dimensional stability, meaning flooring can be floated or glued down right out of the box without any transition pieces or acclimation wait time. Cali Vinyl is further protected by an extra thick 20-mil scratch resistant wear layer and is easy to spot clean and wet mop.

Even homes with pets deserve to look amazing. Cali Vinyl features improved HiFi Imaging technology for richer colors and even more intricate detail. Planks also bear unique wood grain embossing on the surface, for realistic hardwood textures.
