PET | TAO Launches All-Natural Dog and Cat Treat Lines

March 10, 2016

Nashville-based PET | TAO Holistic Pet Products, producer of the first pet food based on Eastern Food Principles, has a new line of treats for cats and dogs.

PET | TAO treats were created based on the Yin-Yang and Five-Element Theories, one of the two fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM).

The Five-Element Theory consists of five distinct element-organ relationships: wood and the liver, fire and the heart, earth and the spleen, metal and the lungs, and water and the kidneys. The treats are meant to promote these major organs, enhance each organs’ function and subsequently support the overall health of the body.

“With PET | TAO Holistic Pet Products, we are combining the strengths of Western nutritional science and the time-proven theories of Eastern Medicine, primarily Eastern Food Therapy,” said Dr. Marc Smith, co-founder of PET | TAO.
