Pet Sustainability Coalition Opens Ticket Sales for Second Annual Impact Unleashed Event

The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) opened ticket sales for the second annual Impact Unleashed event to be held on September 20 and 21 in Denver, Colorado. A first of its kind, Impact Unleashed unites pet industry leaders in a pre-competitive forum that highlights the business case for sustainability through education, inspiration and a path toward implementation.

In 2017 the event drew 65 values-driven leaders from around the U.S. to hear from world renowned speakers from groups including the World Wildlife Fund and Savory Institute, to consumer-adored brands like Badger Balm, Go-Lite and Eco-Products. This lineup, including Timberland footwear manufacturing company, coupled with record-breaking satisfaction rates from last year’s event, PSC expects Impact Unleashed to double in size this year.

In a rapidly advancing market with a preference for sustainable, responsible and safe products, Impact Unleashed is the only event in the pet industry that enables leaders to meet these new expectations. In 2017 over 65 pledges were made by companies at Impact Unleashed to leverage their business toward environmental and social solutions. To satisfy these pledges, this year’s event will host a handful of workshops that will ensure attendees walk away with the tools needed to execute.

“It’s difficult to put a number on the value of inspiration. Inspiration fuels innovation supporting top line growth, but the topics covered at Impact Unleashed also result in bottom line savings from efficiency, attraction and retention of top talent through employee engagement and reduced risk from supply chain management,” said Caitlyn Dudas, PSC’s executive director.

Beyond inspiring speakers from outside of the industry, Impact Unleashed also showcases untold stories of profitable impact from within the pet industry using TED-style presentations. These stories help shape the industry’s sustainability story so that leaders can share ideas, successes and challenges resulting in a more effective and adaptive community.

Companies are encouraged to purchase their tickets in sets of two so that attendees can brainstorm new ideas and support each other during implementation after the event.
