Pet Supermarket, a specialty pet supply retailer with locations across the U.S. Southeast, is thrilled to welcome Chadwick Hamby to the company as its new vice president of information technology.

As vice president of IT, Hamby will enhance Pet Supermarket’s continued integration into today’s digital environment to include boosting the retailer’s SEO presence, expanding e-commerce operations, safeguarding digital assets and ensuring companywide technologies are up to date. 

“Chadwick is an industry-recognized leader who sets the pace in digital commerce and systems,” said McClard. “His experience, particularly with pet-care supply and demand, aligns with Pet Supermarket’s growth strategy and indicates his impending success within the company.” 

Hamby comes to Pet Supermarket equipped with decades of IT experience. In his most recent position, Hamby was vice president of e-commerce operations and solutions at nutritional retailer GNC. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with PetSmart and leveraged his entry role as supply chain solutions manager into his last position as director of digital operations.

“Having spent much of my career in the pet industry, I am excited to be joining such a passionate team,” said Hamby. “Between its community involvement and broad selection of care essentials, Pet Supermarket will have an impressive digital future that I am eager to share with individuals in our service areas and beyond.”

In his free time, Hamby enjoys relaxing with his two children. Together, the family rescued a mixed-breed Staffordshire bull terrier named Colorado.
