Instagram has over 600 million users. That means pet retailers have plenty of opportunities to connect with their customers on the popular social media platform. But knowing exactly how to make those impressions through the app is key.
Pet Age and Pet Store Pro hosted a webinar yesterday, February 28, titled, “Million Words—How to Use Instagram for Your Pet Business.” It was presented by Lynn Switanowski-Barrett, founder and president of Creative Business Consulting Group, a retail strategy consulting firm.
Switanowski-Barrett explained the ways pet retailers should utilize Instagram for their business’ benefit, including taking customers “behind-the-scenes” of the business, posting a mix of videos and photos, tagging a location for the pictures, using hashtags wisely and communication with followers through liking and commenting on their posts.
