PAW5TM Launches 5-Day Enriched Life Challenge for Dogs

PAW5, dedicated to providing environmental enrichment for dogs through thoughtful product design, is launching their PAW5 Enriched Life Challenge. The program challenges pet parents to provide five days of ideal enrichment for their dogs to further engage their pet’s mind and body in healthy and rewarding activities that will keep them mentally sharp and physically fit.

A press release from the company stated that most pet parents understand that a dog requires regular training and exercise. Unfortunately, due to the hectic lives owners live, there are a multitude of bored and under-stimulated dogs living in households worldwide. This lack of mental and physical activity leads to weight gain, apathy and inappropriate behavior.

On the other hand, when pet parents provide opportunities for their dogs to learn, think and play on a regular basis, they become more physically, mentally, socially and emotionally healthy. To this end, PAW5 has developed the Enriched Life Challenge, inviting dog owners to follow a set of daily “recipes” for enrichment that include do-it-yourself alternatives and tips on how to incorporate enrichment easily and effectively. By following PAW5 on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and using the hashtag #PAW5EnrichedLifeChallenge, dog owners can join a community of like-minded owners sharing their experiences and ideas on how to make their dogs’ lives better.

“Dogs need enrichment, plain and simple,” said Dennis O’Donnell, co-founder of PAW5. “They need to interact with their environment, their humans, and other dogs in a number of different ways in order for them to grow and lead fulfilling lives. Presenting them with new challenges, toys, adventures and opportunities is the key to having a happy and healthy dog, and we’re hoping our Enriched Life Challenge will show people how realistic and easy it can be.”

The #PAW5EnrichedLifeChallenge will kick off officially on Monday, October 17th. Leading up to the launch, PAW5 will provide educational content around the six categories of enrichment and the ground rules they believe are necessary for building an enriched life on their blog at www.paw5.us.
