Chocolate gouramis, clown rasboras, yellowfin fronts and were just some of the fish Nautilus Tropical Fish Wholesale received this week.

“I have the best looking chocolate gouramis I’ve ever seen here. No DOAs and virtually no losses in the week they’ve been here,” Nautilus Tropical Sales Manager Joe Hiduke said in an email. “We don’t keep these in soft acidic water, so you don’t have to worry about acclimating them to harder water on your end.”

Nautilus also received sparkling gouramis, some shrimp—a few black and white bees and some carbon rilis—and new discus (pictured here), with 4-inch pigeonbloods being the best type for those, according to Hiduke.

Also back in stock are the clown rasboras, Rasbora kalochroma.

“Perfect size, they’re big enough to have color but small enough to acclimate pretty readily,” Hiduke said. “These are not one of the little nano-tank rasbora types, these get up to 4 inches and are very active. They’re around 1.75 inches now.”

Karolina Island yellowfin frontosas are also in. According to Hiduke, they are “a great size and already showing pretty good color.”

In addition to these new arrivals, Nautilus has also been implementing some changes to make its pack process more efficient, especially as it expects more orders.
