Jones Naturals LLC, manufacturer of natural, U.S.-made dog treats and chews, announced the appointment of consumer products industry veteran Joe Wallington as its new president. Wallington will oversee a recently expanded leadership team focusing on the company’s new multi-channel brand strategy and overall growth.

“Joe joined Jones Naturals earlier this year and has already driven growth in the pet industry,” Jones Naturals CEO Michelle Higdon said. “He is a results-proven sales and marketing executive with diverse industry, sales structure and go-to-market experience. Joe brings a fresh perspective and momentum to the Jones Naturals team that promises to deliver significant growth while upholding our tradition of providing best-in-class dog treats and chews—all of which are born, bred and manufactured exclusively in the United States.”

Jones Naturals recently announced a new multi-channel brand strategy that includes expanding the company’s Jones Natural Chews and The Country Butcher product lines, as well as a new brand platform for the flagship Jones Natural Chews line. Wallington will oversee all aspects of these initiatives in his new role as president of the parent company.

Wallington has more than 30 years of experience in the consumer products industry and has successfully led direct sales force, direct store delivery (DSD), broker and distributor/dealer go-to-market initiatives. He spent his career developing sales and marketing strategy and has held director and vice president level positions with Ralston Foods, Purina, PepsiCo/Frito-Lay and Michelin North America. Over the last eight years, Wallington served as a corporate officer and vice president of sales and marketing for Star Electric Vehicles. He played a key role in all aspects of business for the electric, utility golf and low-speed vehicle manufacturer, including finance, marketing, operations, research and development, and sales.

Wallington is a graduate of the University of Missouri, St. Louis, where he earned a degree in business administration and marketing. Wallington and his wife, Ellen, will be relocating to Rockford, Illinois, from Greenville, South Carolina, where he was a leader in his church and community. Wallington has always been a lover of dogs. He has had a collie, two German shepherds, and, most recently, a rescue dog named Sweetie for nearly 14 years.
