Premium Japanese pet accessories brand Warm Heart Company (WHCY) will launch in the U.S.A. in fall 2015.
Founded in 1997 by popular ready-to-wear fashion designer Yachiyo Nishio, WHCY produces high quality pet clothing and accessories. The company is best known for their performance raincoats and jackets featuring waterproof and thermoregulatory fabrics. The company also produces the T-Piece, a garment used by veterinarians in place of cones to help pets heal from wounds, surgeries and skin conditions without interfering the with pet’s daily activities.
WHCY won the Good Design Award in 2004 and the Japanese Kennel Club Tokyo Dog Collection award in 2010. In 2015, WHCY was selected by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry to represent Japan on a global scale as part of their “More Than Project.” The “More Than Project” is an ongoing initiative that focuses on introducing the world to an in-depth cultural image of Japan that expands traditional pop cultural ideas beyond stereotypical geishas and anime.
