“I and love and you,” the Boulder, Colorado-based independent pet food company that believes if you feel love, you should feed love, is taking over newsfeeds. People can share their stories to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #FEEDTHELOVE. For the first 10,000 stories of love shared, “I and love and you” will donate a meal to National Mill Dog Foundation.
“Everything we do at ‘I and love and you’ is a direct result of the close and special relationship all of us have with our pets,” CEO Beau Mainous said. “We celebrate and champion our crazy love for them and those who feel the same way, you are our people. Go ahead, join in and share your story—you’re in good company!”
To start the movement, “I and love and you” captured dozens of people in Boulder sharing the crazy things they do for love in an open-confession video.
Some of the company’s favorites include:
“I stopped eating cucumbers because of my cat.”
“I hired a pet psychic to learn more about my dog.”
“I change up the lyrics to songs to be about my cat.”
“We bought a king-size bed so our dog could still fit.”
“Social media today is full of anything but love; let’s change that,” Mainous said. “By sharing our unconditional devotion to our pets, we can help other pets in need of love themselves.”
