Canine Companions for Independence will be holding the seventh annual HAUTE DOG | LA, a Howl-oween Disco Doggie Fashion Show, on October 14, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California.
Host John O’Hurley, as well as a panel of celebrity judges—Paul Shaffer, Laraine Newman, Steve Porcaro from Toto, and Gary Anthony Williams, will be there as canine models and their owners strut their stuff in their own unique creations ranging from Halloween costumes to couture, demure to outrageous.
Fashion show emcees JP Karliak and Kate Luhr will be introducing some of the big names walking the runway this year: Rose Abdoo and her dog Monkey, Michael Nouri and his dog Charlie, Sonia Montejano and her dog Lola, Ari Seth Cohen and his dog Fancy Schmancy, and with Canine Companion dogs Denise Tomasello Chicago’s Cabaret Queen, Chicago’s Magnificent 7 and more! The show will also feature recipients of Canine Companions assistance dogs sharing their inspirational stories of enhanced independence.
The evening will have cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, disco music, silent auction, live auction, stories from assistance dog recipients, an after party to meet the celebrities and much more fun as the dogs take over the catwalk!
