Fromm Family Pet Food Recalls Gold Pate Dog Food

Listen to this articleFromm Family Pet Food has issued a recall of its Gold Pate Dog Food.
The company announced that it discovered through its own analysis that 12 ounce cans of their new Gold canned dog food pates do not contain recommended levels of vitamins and minerals and may contain elevated levels of vitamin D. Vitamin D can become toxic to dogs at high levels.
There have been no reports of any health problems thus far.
The affected items are:
• 12 ounce Gold Chicken Pate Dog, can case code #11893, individual can UPC 72705 11892
• 12 ounce Gold Chicken & Duck, can case code #11895, individual can UPC 72705 11894
• 12 ounce Gold Salmon & Chicken Pate, can case code #11891, individual can UPC 72705 11890
