Entries Still Open for Pet Product Entrepreneur Competition at Pet Connections Expo

September 11, 2018

The upcoming Pet Connections Expo, which will be held October 2-3 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania, will feature “Sharkless Tank” Live with prizes, and organizers want those interested to know that final entry slots are still open.

International Conference Development and Bark Your Biz have just announced that entrepreneurs who are accepted to pitch at this year’s live event will be eligible to win over $1,000 in prize vouchers for “Barking their Biz” live in front of the Pet Connections Expo audience.

The 2018 Best Barker Award will include a $500 prize voucher good toward next year’s Pet Connections Expo booth fees, as well as three hours of consulting time with one or more of the industry experts on the Bark your Biz judging panel. The “First Runner-Pup” will be awarded a $300 voucher and two hours of consulting time, and the “Second Runner-Pup” will be awarded a $200 voucher and one hour of consulting time. All remaining Barkers will get $100 trade show vouchers.

Pet Connections Expo is also offering two options for prospective Barkers who are accepted into the competition but not exhibiting at this year’s show:

Bark n’ Bash Plan: This option allows non-exhibiting contestants full access to attend both days of the trade show and invites them to join the party for the Pet Industry Womanpet con expo of the Year Awards Banquet on the evening of October 2. The fee for Bark N’ Bash is $300 per company for up to two participants and $150 each for additional Barkers. Fees are paid to International Conference Development. Bark Your Biz does not charge contestants to appear on the program. (Personalized video and audio packages will be offered to contestants by Bark Your Biz Productions for a fee but are NOT required).

Bark-Only Plan: Contestants will be eligible to attend the Pet Connections Expo on October 3 only, and will be limited to two per Barking company.

“Bark Your Biz is not about immediate funding, and the experts are not sharks,” show creator Anthony Bennie said. “Our expert panel will ask tough questions, but it’s designed to be a positive experience. Our goal is to help the Barkers to get real world experience in making timed live pitches and give honest feedback and suggestions to entrepreneurs.”

How to Apply: Apply through email to [email protected] with subject line “Bark Your Biz.” Include your name and best contact info, your company name and website, and briefly describe the product(s) or service(s) you want to pitch. NOTE: Barking Slots are limited; applying does not guarantee participation; contestants are chosen at the sole and total discretion of Bark Your Biz Productions.
