Dog Speak will donate $1 for every pack of greeting cards it sells to retailers in April as part of a month-long promotion.

Throughout April, the company will feature various rescue organizations as the donation recipients.

The idea of writing cards from the dog was created by owner Connie Hillmann’s mother.

In 2005, Hillmann began writing and creating a card line that would reflect the same loving and humorous sentiments that she received from her dogs.

“I wanted the cards to be able to communicate my crazy dog love feelings and the unique relationship that I have had with all the dogs that have been part of my life,” said Hillmann. “So, Dog Speak was born with a dream and prayer in hopes that one day I would become an official entrepawneur.”

In addition to quarterly donations and product contributions, Dog Speak offers an additional 10 percent savings on orders from nonprofit rescue organizations.
