Scenthound, a wellness-focused, membership-based dog grooming business, recently welcomed Christian Betancourt as newest member of their franchise leadership team. In this role, Betancourt will drive marketing initiatives aimed at further launching the brand nationally and helping expand the franchise to 250 units within the next three years.

Betancourt comes to Scenthound after serving in various digital marketing leadership roles at Anytime Fitness and brings more than 18 years of experience in digital marketing, communications and demand generation.  Having come from another franchise brand, Betancourt brings robust knowledge of franchise marketing, which consists of both consumer and franchise development tactics.

“After diving into Scenthound and their vision for the future, I was immediately interested in the opportunity to help scale this great brand,” said Betancourt. “With huge potential in a $100 billion pet industry, the chance to join this Rockstar leadership team was too good to pass up. Scenthound partnered with Global Talent Solutions (GTS) to hire Betancourt. GTS is a prominent recruiter and talent acquisition firm in the franchise world. Scenthound has partnered with GTS for previous hires to their team. “GTS has been a great partner to us,” says Tim Vogel. “The quality of candidates that have been brought to us has been incredible.”

Pet care is a booming and recession-resistant industry, and Scenthound’s continuous success proves the validity of their concept. With the rising number of puppy adoptions during COVID-19, Scenthound is presented with a real opportunity to continue expansion. While most traditional dog grooming services focus on haircuts, Scenthound expands the scope to meet pet parents’ needs for a more complete wellness routine for their pets that includes Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth.
