The Presidio Trust recently announced it has signed a lease with Pet Food Express for space in the newly renovated historic warehouse complex known as Eleven Eighty at Crissy Field. They become the park’s second retailer, joining Sports Basement, and will be among the first tenants to occupy the newly rehabilitated, seven-building complex along the waterfront.

Pet Food Express will occupy 11,800 square feet of 84,000 total square feet of space near the Marina Gate and East Beach. It is the second organization to locate there, following City Ventures, a multi-family developer. Discussions are also underway with prospective tenants for the remaining space. There is still space available at the waterfront complex, which sports stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Home-grown, local retailer Pet Food Express will open in the Presidio by the end of this year. The new flagship store will offer high-quality pet products and services, including pet wash stations, veterinary clinics, training classes, and same-day delivery, as well as a highly trained store team to support pet parents as they care for their animal’s specific needs. The location is easily accessible by transit (Muni 30) and includes ample visitor parking with paid electric vehicle charging stations available to all park visitors.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Pet Food Express to the Presidio,” said Jeff Eichenfield, director of commercial asset management at the Presidio Trust. “The store will be a terrific asset to park visitors, tenants and residents, and bring new customers into the Presidio.”

Michael Levy, founder and president of Pet Food Express, opened the first location in San Francisco’s West Portal neighborhood in 1980.

“We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter in our California story,” said Levy. “I began my business serving San Francisco pets, and to make a new home in such a beautiful and historic part of San Francisco 44 years later has brought Pet Food Express full circle. We’re looking forward to meeting all our new neighbors and their furry family members!”
