Bentley’s Pet Stuff is establishing a presence in North Carolina with the purchase of Pet Mania.

The aquisition brings Bentley’s Pet Stuff into Raleigh, Wake Forest, Holly Springs and Cary, North Carolina. Additional North Carolina locations are in the works with a second location in Holly Spings and single locations in Charlotte, Durham, Morrisville and Garner.

“We are delighted to bring Bentley’s Pet Stuff to North Carolina,” says Lisa Senafe, Bentley’s CEO who is pictured here. “It is our company’s priority to understand each community we serve so we can best meet its unique needs, and to this end, we are happy that Pet Mania owners Jackie and Kevin Myers have agreed to stay on to help develop the growth and development in this market”.

Pet Mania opened its doors 30 years ago on February 1, 1988.

“I got into this industry by following my heart and have loved every moment of it,” Kevin Myers said. “We can’t imagine Pet Mania in better hands, and are glad that we’ll still be overseeing the day-to-day management of the North Carolina stores and the Southeast expansion to ensure our customers’ continuing satisfaction.”

The acquisition will take place in February, where all Pet Mania employees will remain in the existing locations now rebranded to Bentley’s Pet Stuff.

North Carolina is the second Southeast state for the retailer who is currently open in Georgia with five locations. The nine North Carolina stores and the planned Florida expansion will bring the pet retailer into three Southeast states with 40+ retail locations and over 400 employees.

Lisa and Giovanni Senafe carefully vet all of their products so customers at every store know they are purchasing all-natural pet foods that contain no wheat, corn, soy or byproducts. And each Bentley store is committed to its community, regularly partnering with local animal shelters and other nonprofit organizations. Bentley’s Pet Stuff also offers delivery and has an ecommerce website.
