Home Franchise Concepts, a premier platform of best-in-class franchised brands in the home services sector, recently announced that several of its brands have been recognized among the Best of the Best Franchises in 2023 by Entrepreneur. The ranking highlights the brands from Entrepreneur’s 2023 Franchise 500 ranking that ranked at the top of their industry categories. Several Home Franchise Concepts brands have also ranked in Entrepreneur’s inaugural ranking of the Top Brands for Multi-Unit Owners. This ranking identifies the brands with the most appeal for prospective franchisees interested in multi-unit ownership as well as existing franchisees looking to expand their portfolios. Both rankings will be published in the July/August issue of Entrepreneur magazine and on Entrepreneur.com, and are as follows:  

·         Budget Blinds, which specializes in installing blinds, shades, shutters, draperies and smart home solutions, is identified as a Top Brand for Multi-Unit Owners and a Best of the Best Franchise.   

·         Kitchen Tune-Up, offering top-tier cabinet refacing, redooring, new cabinets and cabinet painting services, was named a Top Brand for Multi-Unit Owners as well as a Best of the Best Franchise. 

·         Aussie Pet Mobile, the No. 1 brand in mobile pet grooming, is recognized as a Best of the Best Franchise. 

·         Concrete Craft, the world’s only decorative concrete franchise, is ranked as a Best of the Best Franchise.

Entrepreneur’s Best of the Best Franchises ranking is based on information submitted for its annual Franchise 500 and is part of the brand’s continuing effort to best understand and evaluate the ever-changing franchise marketplace. The franchises selected as 2023’s Best of the Best are ranked not only in the increasingly competitive Franchise 500 list this year but also at the top of their respective industry categories, based on an evaluation of more than 150 data points in the areas of costs and fees, size and growth, franchisee support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. There are 152 categories represented this year, a testament to the ever-growing diversity of industries represented in the franchise world. 

According to franchise research and advisory firm FRANdata, 53.2 percent of all franchise units operating in the U.S. last year were owned by multi-unit owners. To determine the top brands for multi-unit ownership, Entrepreneur asked franchisors a few relevant questions: Do they offer discounts to franchisees purchasing multiple units? What percentage of their franchisees own multiple units? What percentage of their brand’s total units are owned by multi-unit franchisees? What is the average number of units owned by each franchisee? And finally, do they only sell multiple units or master licenses? They also factored in each company’s Franchise 500 score, which is based on an analysis of more than 150 data points in the areas of costs and fees, size and growth, franchisee support, brand strength, and financial stability. 

“The companies on these lists exemplify what it takes to thrive in franchising: They are innovative and nimble, but also stable and growing. They are truly the best of the best,” said Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur magazine. “Just as well, the industry is increasingly embracing multi-unit franchisees as motivated, knowledgeable, capable operators, and it’s no wonder that brands are now competing for these great multi-unit owners’ attention.”
